Sustainable Mining in Mongolia: The TSM Standard Part.2
May 02, 2025
The Towards Sustainable Mining (TSM) standard promotes responsible management principles throughout all stages of the mining sector and is systematically implemented in activities such as exploration, extraction, transportation, and product handling. The TSM standard aims to create long-term sustainability for stakeholders while enhancing social responsibility, as well as improving environmental and infrastructural conditions.
As mining projects often extend over long periods, the implementation of the TSM standard facilitates proactive planning for factors that impact the environment and local development, thereby increasing opportunities for enhancing social responsibility.
